Haplotrema concavum, Michigan. The great majority of land snails are herbivorous, feeding on decaying leaves and wood and fungal hyphae. However, there are a few carnivorous species that feed on other land snails. Haplotrema concavum, common throughout the eastern United States, is such a carnivorous species.
